Vanetta Schoefield started this movement after feeling the sting of isolation for the up and coming marginalized woman. She didn’t want to be the only one woman of color per showcase, and to compete with the colleagues she felt deserved a spot. Now every showcase presents an accurate representation of the diaspora with a motivational undertone.
