ABOUT
While the world works towards finding a new normal, 1865 aims to establish a new norm for Black performers--getting acknowledged for their efforts and innovation within the comedic art form. 1865 is an upcoming comedy festival--offered live and virtually--that will showcase a multitude of Black comedians who have invested their time and talent in making us laugh.

To be considered for showcase slots, please submit a 2-5 minute video and complete our short online application by following the link below:

We are **waiving the $18.65 submission fee for those who complete the process between April 5 and 6. **You must use coupon code: REPARATIONS**

If you submit and are not selected you will still be invited to perform at our Open Mics in the festival where stage time is first come first served.

We ask prospective 1865 comedians outside of the Atlanta, GA area to make plans to be in Atlanta.
Details will be posted periodically on this site, but we will be communicating primarily via email.
Chances are if you have questions, we have answers--please give us ample time to get back to you.
